Re: Bel

Naut,

Not taken in the wrong way at all.  It has crossed my mind more than once that I should have just issued orders and all would have been fine.  Live and learn I guess.

Something just occurred to me when I was reading this - and I don't want you to take this the wrong way - being a soldier was perfect for Carl. He could be a man, show dedication to duty and his courage, face death unflinchingly, and not have to worry about life! I think that's the kind of guy he is...

Re: Funny isn't how we start off saying we are not upset or angry

Azur,

I have always found self pity to be a waste of time and I think in some way I tend to put anger in that same catagory.  Of course, allowing myself to get angry about the situation also means not being to impressed with myself either for accepting these things for so long.  Kind of a catch 22 in that LOL!

I used to have a doctor who had a way of opening the floodgate. After those sessions she'd say would you like to slip out the back door today? I had several friends that i would compare notes with, did you leave the doctor by the front door or the back door?

Re: Bel.......

Corbin,

I could never punch you!  Though the idea of torturing the telemarketer.......... LOL!

Bel.......
I wish I was up there......to let you punch me!    Hell, yes it's good for you to get mad,  and scream like hell!   Bottling it up inside brings on all kinds of physical conditions by weakening you.

Take it out on a telemarketer......but take it out!

Re: Bel_

Jacenta,

I am very lucky to have friends that aren't afraid to be honest with me and vise versa.  Can't say I always like it when they call me on things I don't want to deal with, but they sure make sure I get myself past all the garbage.

Sometimes a catharsis or purging of the emotions is just what is needed.  We need to release anger for letting it bottle up within only causes more problems in the end.  I hope you are feeling better now, Bel.   I am glad you have such a smart, good friend.

Re: Lustorlove
I don't know that my anger will make things better for others, but the truth is I have held in for too long because I didn't want all the anger between us.  The marriage is over, the divorce is in process but he is still Pam's father.  For her sake, I just don't want to carry a lot of anger and resentment toward him.  I did need to release some of it, I did need to admit I was feeling it.

Re: being angry...

Ciel,

Very, very true.  I tell that to my clients often....unfortunately sometimes it's easier to give the advice than it is for me to take it.

being angry...
that is a form of running energy, like hot water, to clear the pipes.  Very useful, doesn't have to be thrown at anyone, doesn't have to be used as a weapon.  In fact, anger in its clearest, cleanest form is a great healer!
