LOL, arm-wrestling mice, HAHAHAHA
I definitely am not going to burn any incense for Pitiful.  You needs to be depressed a little.   She is always too far on the manic side.

Rings true to what I have noticed. I see that other scents like vanilla
and cinnamon can make me happy too

I am reminded of funerals
here, each and every person takes part in the incense burning, so that perhaps the effects are good!

Naut
Although not oils, I've been using oils for years; sometimes placed on accupressure points or sometimes in the palm of my hand and then (as instructed) I wave my hands around my head.  Does it work - sometimes - but it's probably a placebo of sorts.

scented candles. soft relaxation music, good food a glass of wine
ah, I know what sort of activity THAT is going to lead to and I've never heard it being called beating up the cat before!

So, should we be injecting it instead of burning it?

Hmmmmm.....
I have some friends that use incense a lot and they seem happy all of the time....though it might be due to the other item they are burning at the same time....

LOL!
OK seriously I do believe that scents can have an emotional effect on people.   Who can walk into a place with bread baking and not instantly feel a level of comfort?

It's all good.

Nautikos, I'm not surprised at this information. In fact, I've posted
several blogs in the past on Blogit saying I got rid of my depression through aromatherapy, mostly burning incense...I'm glad my experience is confirmed by a study.  Oh and I added soft New Age music...I figure both change the frequency.
