So does that mean you are running away with the motorcycle club too?  I wonder how many Re:'s we can get before they won't allow anymore?

Hmmm? I'm late reading this response.
Sh*t! I can run faster than some of the slow drivers around here, and if I could, I would crush them...bwahahahaha!!!!

Re: Bel, reading this made me feel gratitude

Azur,

Your words truly put a lump in my throat.  Much has passed here over the years but the one thing that remains is through it all we always know that we can come back here and find a familar face and heart.  While life changes, it is a gift to know that we always have a friendly heart waiting to welcome us back.

I have genuinely missed you my friend.

I'm baaaaaaacccccccckkkkk

LOL, I am out of the closet with suitcase in hand, cleaned out the fridge so now I have about 3 loads of dishes to wash, took a shower, shaved my legs, was turned into dinner for the misquitos and have certain friends positively convinced that I am running away to join a motorcycle club!

Rather productive day I would say!

Bel, reading this made me feel gratitude
Must be doing something right because my kids tell me they hate me on a regular basis, but yes I believe the progress i am now making with my writing is due to attitude, gratitude and oh  i don't know what else. love perhaps. Thanks for your lovely comment on my post. Welcome back. I wrote a post recently about one of the reasons i stick around here being that there are witnesses to my life here, and people whose lives I witness, and so I read about your live and about your daughter, having read your words for years, and remembering what has passed.

hear HEAR!!!!!!!!!  I completely agree that it is better to have a positive attitude towards things than negative!!!!  My life's happier for it!  Although, sometimes, it's hard...and I forget to look up.

Something to understand about me.  I am not allowed sharp objects, firearms or vehicles that can run over the ones that go 25 in a 55 for no reason.  So as for the 12 gage gotta bring your own.

Personally, I prefer chasing a cow with a jar of BBQ sauce.

Re: Re: Re: The 100 dollar bills used to have more value in Canada
Come to think of it, the deer around here have been looking awfully scrumptious lately.
Got a twelve-gauge I can borrow? I'll save you some steaks. lol
To tell you the truth, this election year doesn't hold out much promise for me on the national level.
Hopefully, local juridictions can circumvent the mess that the national powers that be...and are yet to be...will make of things.
Fingers crossed!
And it's good that you're still able to hold onto your business, because it's often small businesses that take the hit in hard times.

Re: Re: The 100 dollar bills used to have more value in Canada
No kidding, if I didn't have my own business and work at home, I would be forced to start eating venison myself.  The economy is just plain scary!  I can only hope it gets better.   Here in Michigan it's a female democratic governor that I hold accountable.  One will have to wait and see what the next generation brings in all over next year.

Especially if they have keys on them.  lol
Yeah, it's scary what's happened to the U.S. currency on the world market...thanks Dubya!

The 100 dollar bills used to have more value in Canada
but I am told now, if I take them over there, that I will actually owe them money!  Self aware keychains...hmmmmmmmm could be an interesting concept.

Re: Re: LMAO! We're running out of room for Re:'s I had to change the header...
Yeah...for some strange reason, those damn hundred dollar bills never seem to go up in value.
Oh God, I used to have a ton of keychains, until they started to become self-aware, then I had to destroy them.

Re: LMAO! We're running out of room for Re:'s I had to change the header...
Shhhhhhhhhhh, I remember the vinyl's too!  I believe my first was a Winnie The Pooh Album and my last (heaven help me) was one of Bob Segar's.  I collect odd things but not 8-tracks.  Keychains, most certainly, even have a few from your homestate according to your "About Me".  Thought about collecting 100 dollar bills but so far haven't found them at a good price in any store.

Re: Re: LMAO! We're running out of room for Re:'s I had to change the header...
I'm tempted to not respond, for fear of revealing my age. lol
I didn't assume you were that old, I thought maybe you had come across an 8-track player and collected it for it's nostalgic value.
The same way people collect the old vinyl records...remember those. Oops, sorry!  lol

Re: LMAO! We're running out of room for Re:'s I had to change the header...
Ummm NO!  Geez, I am not THAT old!  I saw the tapes at a yard sale, didn't say I bought them!  No, I still have a cassette player and a few old cassettes, but that is far back as I will go.  I am rather fond of CD's they don't eaten in the player in the car!

You actually have an 8-track player for those tapes? And it works?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: I don't pray for an easier life...
ROTFLOL! Freddie Fender!! OMG!!
You know, Bel...a Freddie Fender 8-track would be an excellent payback for a pet rock Christmas gift!
Maybe even too harsh!

OMG! 8-track tapes! Did you have to remind me??
I think I'll write my congress representative about the dial-up.  lol

Re: Re: Re: I don't pray for an easier life...

Dial up should be illegal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I had it for about 3 days when I first moved in until the tech could get here to install it.  It was kind of like going back to the days of 8-track tapes!

I think I was about 6 or 7 at the time.

Re: Re: I don't pray for an easier life...
If you wanna call it that..."connected."
But, it'll have to do until my high speed internet is reconnected.
For now it's dial-up, which after all these years of it's existence, you'd think they would have improved on it by now, but, sorry to say, it's still excruciatingly slow.
I've been through hell and back in my life...it's not the age, it's the mileage...and I've gotten stronger as a result, but, like you, I have my moments...and yes, people do forget and expect you to be stoic all the time.

Re: I don't pray for an easier life...
Thanks Cheugon!   I would say your choice is rather wise as well.  Strenght at times feels a bit like a curse because sometimes people forget you have your moments as well but I am grateful for the strength I have been given.  Good to see you are connected so soon!

...I pray to be a stronger person.

but worth the effort to make the change.

You are right

Nothing good comes from moaning about all the things that are wrong. If you have a problem, deal with it. If it cannot be fixed, accept it or get the flock out.

That is ofc very easy to say, to do it is another thing.

But I totally agree with you about the attitude. If you focus on the good things in your life (and you will be surprised how many that actually is) then you will get more energy and motivation to actually deal with whatever is bothering you.

Thanks for a great post :)
