My favorite Scripture reference is, 'Be still and know I am God.' It is enough for me! sam

believing and knowing are two different things. I would have liked to see the look on the folks standing on the outside of the ark, when they came to the conclusion there indeed was a God.

nice to see such genuine passion
I am currently undecided on religion, and am deciding which route to explore, but it is always good to see somebody genuinely invigorated by their faith

God is to each his own............
whatever we call the higher power is our God and all we believe is just that - a belief for who can truly know what awaits us when we depart this world; I enjoyed this a lot Dave; thanks and take care

Absolutely.

Thanks once again for an awesome post.  I love the passage, when the

student is ready, the teacher shows up.  That is so awesome and true.

Thanks for all the light you share with God's people.  God Bless!

Re: Soulbuilder
Thanks Sam39! God is for you.... privately! It is yours and his business! No proof need be given ...even to Atheists! Thanks!

Soulbuilder
You are so right in many ways.  When you open your heart
god the teacher is there.  And when you shut it, he doesn't
go looking for you, you have to be ready.

Re: Re: Why do we have to be right?

Hi Soul, I guess that I agree with you that if you call yourself a believer and don't practice what you teach then it will not automatically get you a free-ticket to heaven.

I'm sorry if I was confusing you - lol.

My friend you make sense to me here.

I just have a personal experience with my God. No fanfares no need to sit in churches, he just guides my life. I try to give all the difficulties to him, money, divorce, love, relationships understanding and health and my friends.  I think being here in Canada with the man that I love and who loves me is living God's plan for me.He called to us both, we listened, and here we are.

Re: Why do we have to be right?
Thanks Harderup! I fancy that I do not really know what you mean! My post was on whether God responds to believers and under what circumstances. Atheists close the doors to God by their affirmed denials. They can be Saul-types! Being right? This may be a debate result! I do not ask IF in my blog! Reading posts is a cosmetic exercise. Seek the proof of God's existence from God himself. There is no argumentative path to God. If you can relate to God, your answers will be forthcoming. I have had my proofs! I don't care to be right by my assessors! Disbelievers who are dark-siders..always... have no heaven. Read some previous posts! You will discover that soul and dark siders are different kinds of beings. That is, if you wish to understand!!

Why do we have to be right?

I have read a lot of posts now both from atheists and christians and it seems like it is so important to be "right".

One thing is for sure - we won't know untill we die.

If there is nothing - we will not be there to care anyway.

If there is a heaven - we will surely forgive the disbelievers

If there is a hell - we will probably be there for the actions we made, regardless of our belief or disbelief...
