Re: There has been an update on this one
kooka. i received this email from several people re: obama's visit. Even AFTER I replied to said emails WITH the link for snopes.com.............not ONE of the people whom sent the FALSE email to ME responded.....You are correct.....once you put the truth in their face......they turn away. It's just easier for all of them (Justi included) to continue to believe what false.

Are you not paying attention? What was posted here is FALSE. Obama NEVER acted in such a manner.
As for the whole Landstuhl hospital issue, that would fall under the same kind of thing. You do not know why he did not go there, but you are making assumptions about it and are basically creating possible false information.

It doesn't surprise me in the least. When he was in Germany, he decided not to visit the American Military Hospital in Landstuhl, because it wasn't a photo op for him, since photographers are not allowed in Military installations, for good reason...

There has been an update on this one
I hope everyone goes and checks out the link
here (Same as the one I posted bellow). They have updated the information and it turns out that Obama never did anything close to what was said in the e-mail. Right here we see the great problem with the internet. Loads of BS propaganda and misinformation travel so fast now that too many people are more than ready to just reposted before all the facts are known.
Of course those who have passed along this load of BS are not about to go and apologize for spreading such lies. It is sad really. I greatly dislike McCain and the more I see him speak the more I dislike him, yet I would never spread such misinformation about him just because. It is irresponsible and childish. It is basically hearing a rumor about some other kid in school and telling everyone just so that they all dislike him/her, even if what you are spreading is false.
It is this kind of childish behavior that is undermining the our democracy and not allow us to vote accurately. Of course one thing that is only helping me see that Obama is the better man is that I am not seeing any of this kind of BS coming from the Liberals. I guess since McCain is such a weak candidate, they need to do nothing more than sit back. I grow tired of these childish attacks against Obama, who keeps showing himself to be very much a worthy candidate to lead this country.

Wow! My son is a soldier and the President is Commander in Chief! To be shunned by a person who could decide your fate is unnerving at best! sam

Justi, you're right
Snopes.com said it was undetermined. But it also said that there were reports like this one:
I don't know who this captain saw, but it wasn't the Barack Obama *I* just saw in Afghanistan. he was warm, friendly & engaging (as much as security would allow) with the troops he met and he was genuinely interested in us and our mission and how we could best serve our country. When Obama went to Jordan a few days ago they said "The guy gets it. Sharp, aware and a very good listener. He doesn't seem stuck in preconceived positions." Those are the qualities *I*'d like to see in my Commander in Chief. While Obama was out visiting the troops, what was John McCain doing ...?, playing golf with his rich cronies (Bush Sr.) in Kennbunkport and whining about how much press coverage Obama was getting. Definitely *not* the qualities I want to see in my Commander in Chief.
Personally I think any officer who would publically gripe about not getting "thanked" for his service by a civilian is a disgrace to the military.
Anyone can go
here for more on this.

I think you are right Kayzzaman - nothing special for Obama, goes for all of them. Anything for good publicity.
