Re: Always a pleasure to hear your rain descriptions.
majroj, the rain finally fell for four hours and I stood in the doorway or sat on the back porch between the college kids' boxes and watched it and heard it all. Glorious rain.
I went to bed at three a..m. or so when it finally stopped. The cicadas are bizzing all around the house right now, anticipating more. The gray and humid day has played with me and never produced the rains that seemed just minutes away all day long.
When I think of the rains in Rio I sigh with the abondanza of it all and so, when our dry river beds get trickles that are sustained for a few days in a row, I just want to go down into them and play with the dogs, but the flash floods which whiz by periodically, keep old me and idiot them out of harm's way.
Thanks for the compliment.
