There is a lot of industry that will go under if people stopped running after the flavor of the day and were content with not being "in", "hip", "cool", or whatever the current word for that may be. I have no problem with change and the excitement of something new, but I have serious problems with people who don't care about the rest of nature of which we are inextricably part and without which none of us would have ever been born or stayed alive.

severe repurcussions indeed!- the perfume industry would probably go out of business, just like the drug companies would if most people used natural or home remedies instead of all these pills they market to everybody

I find it truly abhorrent that people can buy and breed not only rabbits but even dogs for the sole purpose of testing the negative effects on the eyes etc, of stuff used by people for no other purpose than to smell better (which turns out to be worse in some cases) for other people who are probably too busy trying to look and smell good themselves to notice anyway. I have nothing against smelling and looking nice, but I simply can't do that at the cost of other living beings suffering.
