That is so absurd...
...I can't even comment on it, except to thank you for entertaining us with yet "...another bad idea in the long, sad history of bad ideas."....a line from Jurassic Park.

That should increase the population.  People will be having more babies to increase their voting power.

Clever move if they have a strong hand in the control of the mass media and want to get those most easily influenced by the media to vote for them.  Wisdom that comes with maturity has had it's day there it seems.  Then again, is the choice you make at a voting booth really going to influence the long term outcome of events if all the major parties are in cahoots anyway.  We may as well vote for Barbie and Ken, or are they too old fashioned now?

On the other end, you can get married at the age of what? 14-15 in most western countries. and have repeated pregnancies and abandon your kids every times before the age of 17.... And start drinking beers at the age of 16 in Germany. So, maybe the infants are a bit young, but I know teenagers who are more "balanced" than some adults. Maybe a mandatory "head exam" should be done to every possible voter?

On the other hand, many very young kids are as well informed as
the average adult... And they pay as much attention to the political scene.  What I'm waiting for is the day they make it mandatory... :)pat
