tech support 2 cents
I do tech support for a living and here's a short tip. When you get a photo from the camera one of the programs in windows will open it. If you open it with Windows Explorer then at the top there is a flag-like square icon. Click on it and choose 'filmstrip'. Then you can rotate the picture and upload it correctly. Good Luck!

Inserting a photo.
I would like to insert a photo of myself in the "about me" part of my blog site, but when I read about all the problems other bloggers have with the task of posting a photo, I decide that I would rather go to the dentist for a three hour cleaning. (Raping and scraping) That or just take a nap! Guess which one I do. Technology drives me crazy too, and I hate feeling stupid! Sigh!

Your first issue is going to be "copying" and not "saving" the pictures!
Like Ceil, I believe, said, you will then need to upload them to a site like photobucket or flicker to be able to post them on blogit.... or upload them to blogit and post.

Are you going to "My Account" here on blogit.....than "view/edit pictures" and downloading the pictures you are saving on your computer........than open HERE on bloggit and copy/paste link (using the little picture icon on top)? Crap.........I probably just confused you even more. I need a nap.

Thanks, Ciel I'm trying.... you know the cartoon of the man and dog where the man is saying "Bad Dog, No Chewing up my Shoes, Bad, Bad Dog" and the dog hears, "Blahblahblahblahblahblah" - well I'm the dog!!!!! I did get as far as photobucket, I did manage to transfer images to it, but when I clicked on direct link and inserted it in my post, it only came out as the link identification itself, not the pic. I'll keep trying when I have some time to mess with it, but I REALLY appreciate you trying to get through this thick skull of mine!

Mal, if you take your photos to an online host site like photobucket
or flickr or many others, you can follow their easy directions for loading your photos there, then they provide a link you can bring over here. To do that, click on the photo image above at the right end, paste in the link from your host, and hit insert. Photobucket, which I use, offers several links. The one I use for this is labeled 'direct link.'
