Would it not be spectacular if Obama chose say... Alan Greenspan and announced open drilling off all three coasts, inlcuding Alaska (even if they never even drilled). Could you imagine how the markets would react the very next next day announced it? Anything to get the speculators out of the mix

Won't work, Smittenheimer. The last time they had the opposing
politician as VP, I think Jefferson was president. Suffice it to say, it was a while back. Besides, there wouldn't be enough money in it. And it's all about money, it seems...

Obama as the lead speaker and McCain as the VP. Then one can charm and the other can go get the job done behind the scenes if talking doesn't work.
