I hate sunbathing. I used to have to do it, when I was a kid.
My mom thought it was good for me.  BORING! HOT! POINTLESS! It was too bright to read a book, and I hate being hot.  And I might get skin cancer someday because of it.  She didn't know--We ate a lot of butter in those days, too...  when I was skinny.  And tan.

I agree with them all! Can't spent too much time doing nothing: drive me crazy and everyone around me too! Must move or die. That could be my motto!LOL

I have to agree with Kabu!
I see it all the time here too; they get burnt to a cinder on the first day and have to spend the rest of their holiday out of the sun - where's the fun in that!  As to chilling out my friend, doing nothing all day would drive me nuts!! Thanks for this and God bless

Those Brits are crazy. I've seen them first day at the beach they get red a
a lobster and in a lot of pain and with chills. Spoil the rest of their two weeks away. Maybe they hurt too much to do anything but sit. Anyway, you're right. You do your own thing and swim when they are all madly rubbing in the cream to stop the pain.

You said it all...
With this information psot - I can't begin to explain how appreciative I am when the beautiful people from thousands of miles away share their day to day experiences.

I must do my own thing or I'm not worth being around anyway.  LOL

I agree one thousand percent
The only way I'd stay on a beach is if talking to friends, running into the water for a swim or walking along the sand. My idea of a great vacation is learning about the local culture - visiting historic and natural attractions, talking to residents - basically doing what you're doing!!
