Re: Kaboom
That is so cool that you make miso soup!!  Am not sure what gari is but... I wish you could come stand with me out on my veranda right this minute.  It is almost midnight and it is muggy.  I just can't imagine anyone liking muggy!  Do you like muggy?  I think I like heat too, you know the dry kind, in Texas!  But this is draining stuff, this muggy business... Does it get muggy and humid 24/7 in the GTA?  I hope you don't have to put up with this kind of humidity there!

Kaboom

Well, 'some like it hot', and I'm one of 'em! This Canadian might want to leave for home for other reasons, but not because it's too hot! And your pictures are fabulous! They also force me to pay a visit again one of the many Japanese restaurants we have here in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), LOL. Especially for some sashimi...

BTW, I often make miso soup, the proper way with dashi, and I always have a jar of gari in my fridge...

KaBooM, I have always hated sweaty nights.  I think I would chance a summer cold and choose the AC room.  The food all looks so interesting, except I'm not sure about the sea grapes.  Is that animal or vegetable?

You've got my mouth watering

and it's still a long ways to lunch time--I might have to be naughty, and have a snack!

Great pictures, as always
