When you're as lazy as I am, it's so much easier to walk the straight and narrow. Maintaining elaborate deceptions takes a lot of work. If I wanted that, I would've joined the CIA.

Well, that's one way of looking at it. Of course another is some things are meant to be and some things aren't. Beating yourself up over it is ultimately a waste of time. Besides, beating up someone else is a lot more fun.

That's the basic idea. If one has everything one wants and needs, why go searching elsewhere?

I'd like to say I do it all the time, but that's stretching it. Most of the time may be a reach as well. Sometimes will have to do. Thanks.

TAPS.
I'm afraid the world needs a lot more than that, but it's a start.

I feel exactly the same way, Talion.
When I was married I never wanted anyone else -- except possibly Paul Newman, but we all know that was gonna happen!  It was my policy not to do anything I'd have to lie about, nor anything I couldn't share with my husband. It's so much easier to live that way. :)

Well, now, if I had been like you, I might still be married to one of my

husbands or they had been like you, they might still be married to me...... tsk, tsk, tsk, a shame, a sorry and mournful shame, truly....

I totally agree, if one is happy and committed, nothing could interfere with the union! I like your thoughts!  sam

I totally agree
with the wise comments presented below by TAPS.  Your take on relationships is outstanding and I am happy for you that it turned out so well.

Good for you, Talion.  What this world needs if a few more like you.
Actually, a few committed wives would be good too.
