- Go to I AM A SINNER, NOW FORGET I DID ANYTHING WRONG
RSM, it was a very valid and huge point really
You yourself are actually very guilty of using the 'sinner clause' here on Blogit. I have seen you do it. You kind of admit to a mistake but then say 'I am a sinner' and never try to apologize or correct your mistake. You just move on, figuring that the 'sinner clause' takes care of it all.
Not what I find interesting about what you present here, by saying that 'sins are mistakes, errors in judgment, etc. and you are held accountable for those mistakes', that would go against the idea that one is born with sin. After all a new born baby has not made any mistakes and cannot be held accountable for any of its actions. Original Sin and sins of the father would not work here as well, since those are idea that hold others accountable for people's mistakes. Which should make one wonder what Jesus died for. If you are accountable for your sins, how can a death from nearly 2000 years ago fix anything?
I have my own issue with Catholicism. Now are they an open target in your mind then? I know you won't let me say anything bad about Christians, but do you hold the same idea about Catholics?
And I am glad you are starting to get the big picture as shown in your words here. "well that is fine if that is what you wish but this is my life not yours. You have your own life to live." I think those may be the most intelligent words you have ever written here on Blogit. I hope you reread that a few time and really let the concept soak in. When I see those like you say something like that I start to think there is hope for you, that you might at some point understand just how freedom and life in general should work.

Feenix, so you've said in the past
You have a very odd way of showing respect. I see no respect being shown by attacking my intelligence when I disagree with you. And to just tell me to go to 'Hades' because I see flaws in you way of thinking lacks respect as well. If you look back at our exchanges this time around, I very much tried to start things off in a respectful tone by just explaining my disagreement and the why of it all. You came back mocking my intelligence and education.
Actions speak much louder than words.
As I explained to Oddy, who at one point openly admitted he had no respect for me, my beliefs and my views, I only reflect back the level of respect I see given to me. You can tell me respect me all you want, but until you actually start to show' it I will have my doubts and I will go on show equal respect that you show me.

You Have Made A Tiny Point!
However, it was actually a bloggers' comment below that made the point. It depends on what religion you are talking about. I am a Baptist and sins are mistakes, errors in judgement, etc. and you are held accountable for those mistakes. That is why I attend church to learn more and to become a better Christian. Before you comment on that you must understand that I do not expect you to understand that because you will say that you do not need church to do that, well that is fine if that is what you wish but this is my life not yours. You have your own life to live.
So do not lump all into this remark. That is incorrect. Sins are mistakes and errors in judgment make no mistake about that. However, I have alway found one denomination to be very interesting. The Catholics.
As your blogger commented about Catholics below, I must agree to some point. I have jokingly called Catholicism, "The Drive-Thru Religion" because if you have sinned then just drive thru give a confession of your sins then go out and do it again. I must say that I am joking to some extent but you get the picture.

kooka lives,
regardless of all the "run ins" you and I have had in the past, I do have a lot of respect for you, as I expressed to you about three or four years ago.

I always liked the CAtholic confession. A few Hail Marys and all is well.
Being an Episcopalian, we lacked the confessional booth and had to tell the truth when confronted and found out by a parent, etc. and then had to make amends. Darned hard, but good for the inner workings......
I do have a friend who generalizes about the Devil very much and I argue that it's people and not some alien being taking over our pea brains, that gets us into hot water. She disagrees. We can't agree.
