Bravo to have raised such multi-faceted sons. Could only have been accomplished by a muli-facted mom, and you are just that as proven time and again not only by your posts but also by your comments.

gapcohen, regarding your sons, it only gets better.   Mine are in their 40's now and I enjoy them so much.  It was worth any and all efforts made to raise them.

I have the sense that the son is worthy of his Mom...

Oh I know they will. I can feel the love exude in your words. Just the fact that the older son is a mixed bag demonstrates you gave everything he needed to be multi-faceted. And the younger making his own way! You have every reason to be a proud parent. They will see the things you didn't say as being the greatest thing you ever did! I know that because your father has been a silent partner, it can't help but be there! I am stoked for you! sam

Eclectic: not following any one system, as of philosophy, medicine, etc., but selecting and using what are considered the best elements of all systems.

One of my favorite words and a good definition for your son's outlook. Good job Mal!

the ballet bores me to tears, but it's nice that your son will go for his
girl... that's a well raised boy.
