NOW I UNDERSTAND. THE YOUNG GRADUATE STUDENT USE TO SAY TO ME
In counseling that she had wished she did not know as much as she did, because that made believing in Christ so difficult, but finally, she realized that though she knew much about the psychological make-up of a human, she knew so little about a life of faith, and in this instance her ignorance became a giant step toward her happiness.

Sorry about that Poet
What I was saying is the expression ignorance is bliss has never made sense to me. It is saying that lack of knowledge is happiness.

Being a dummy is not happiness
That is an enlightning story, but that phrase means " a lack of education is happiness", and I don't really understand how anyone in their right mind could think that. Having a relationship with God on a meaningful level is bliss, but intelligence would also be right up there with happiness.
