Great fix.  Yes, this is a haiku.  Everyone uses the term of haiku loosely and takes it only as a 5/7/5 syllable format.  If you want to get technical, then a haiku is a 5/7/5 syllable poem that only talks about love or nature.  If you want to get even more technical, there is something also called the senryu which is also 5/7/5 but only talks about human nature or emotions.  But, somehow the translation was lost and people these days only know it as a 5/7/5 poem.  Which is completely fine!!!!!  Did this help?

Hi nitetide, I want to ask you is this a haiku poem or is it some other form of poetry?
