The strangest thing about Robber Mugabe is his very British style. He's intention was originally to free his people from British colonialism, yet he adored them so much that he styled his dress code and manner of speaking after them. He even maintains his supremacy in a remorseless fashion as was their style in the early 1900's. It will be a great day when a true African rules Zim, black , white or green. A truly African philosophy of tolerance and cooperation exists, but it has never been sponsored on the scale that China and others have sponsored the despots.

I think Mugabe imagines that he only needs to die before revolution
to have won.

It seems to me Zimbabwe's struggle is a cautionary tale for us.

Naut toilet paper is about all the money is useful for anyway so why not
I feel so sad about the whole countries mess. And it was once a prosperous place. But I wouldn't begin to try to pretend to understand the problems there who how far back in history they started. I may even have read too many Wilbur Smith books to be impartial anyway.

We still have friends who live in Zimbabwe -an interracial couple and their beautiful toddlers- and I fear for them every day. He was born there, she in Australia, and he loves his country despite the turmoil.

I have a friend who lived in Zimbabwe with his family for many years until he moved to England. His parents were still living there until a few months ago when they were forced to evacuated their land and what they consider their country. Their black servant had to go with them too because he likes them and was therefore seen as a treator. Such another sad story from a "liberated" african country. As for the toilet paper, they could use the German one, it's rough enough!Tschüs.
