Stand fast, endure
Today's unbearable agony

Makes tomorrow's love more deep, more pure,

To appreciate true love, be hurt, be lonely

When the moment comes her light will mend

Your pain, with a joy which doesn't end.

Good writing, my friend, just remember that things do get better.

Re: hmmmm.....
Interesting about emotions versus intuition, prefering the latter be stronger and the former less prevailing. Very nice read

Emotions are often trivialized much to my chigrin
I find they add great things to life and are highly underrated in this society.  I am well aware how devastating they can be but too they are often very renewing and rewarding.  I hope your heart ache is eased by happy ones...

Hi, Mike -  I'm emotional too.  We are feelers more so than we are thinkers.  That's tough sometimes.

Our emotions sometimes it acts like our intuition and get us out of trouble sometimes too it keeps us in a place we don't want.  Nice poem, been out for a while but came back to meet some nice poetry.  Sophie.

Your thoughts on emotions  is a great write. I can relate. Sometimes I let my sensitivity get

the best of me. The depth of your heart is beautiful. I also think Dark Moon said it well.

Teachers much wiser than I say that life is an ocean and that we are continually tossed about by its waves. Up and down. Buffeted to and fro. Pain follows pleasure, dark comes after light, sorrow appears after happiness. The key they say is to find a higher focal point, something like the sailors who followed the north star. Focusing on that star will take you safely to a stable shore. I think you have that higher focus in your devotion to God. And that you take things in stride and wish for the happiness of your girlfriend shows that what you feel is true love, not egoistic self-serving lusts that so many mistakenly call love. Your God, the star that you focus on, will ferry you safely across the ocean of life. There will be good days and bad, storms, hurricane, but, there will also be gentle calm seas. And the main thing is that by holding fast to Him, your boat will not capsize, you will not drown and you will safely reach your goal. Blessings, Moon

Meek
I feel for you and the flood of emotions you're experiencing.  Emotions, or at least overly active ones, can be a real drain and blur our vision.  Be well!
