I was thinking of my daughter today and she called and of course needed a favor. It spoiled the empty feeling I had today. This so soothing, I believe it speaks to every parent. A wonderful poem and congratulations. Bravo! Peace and blessings! sam

This is just beautiful and heart warming .... and the time does seem
to pass so quickly. I wish all parents made their children feel safe.... there are so many who don't, yet the little ones trust them anyway. Your work is fantastic. I look forward to reading more!

mariaki, this is so beautiful...............
My two parted long ago but I remember that "Empty Nest" feeling. It hurts, but now son is 42 and daughter is 40 and they both live close to me - I thank God every day for that. I love my grandchildren and welcome them every time I see them.

Time does help and hearing about his maturity and what he's doing will help. They never really leave you, a mother carries them in her heart each and every day. Great poem, dear!

Hi Maria, I just read this to my wife and i could feel her heart welling up, now that the elder one has spread his, and the younger one is about to. My best wishes for dear Simon. Incidentally, the name also reminds me of Wordsworth's
Simon Lee, the Old Huntsman.
