Feenix,
Are you asking a question? Duty, honor, country comes to mind! Discipline, teamwork, respect for human life! Training in the art of killing another human being in the defense of life and liberty! Distinguishing then isolating friend from foe! The ability to identify an enemy target and cause its destruction!
I am not here to play games with the uneducated and indoctrinated fools who reside in this great land! The people who will make this right have not been yet threatened! The minute we are, there will be justice my feeble friend!

Glennb,
What are the "real" reasons that those of us with military backgrounds served?

Sam444,
Your son is a very lucky man! My prayers are with you that he comes home the same as you honor his service! I understand the great sacrifice these men are making for their duty to this great country. It is a job that has lost its true meaning, because of this so called war on terror! It is not our cause to condemn their duty to defend the Constitution against all enemies! Because of your writings I understand this very much! Thank you.
It is these outside elements that perpetuate the insanity! They treat military service as some obligation to make their insanity relevant! As a man who did his duty and defended the Constitution when called I know the conflicts of military service! These people are criminals and I want them to hear it from a man who knows the "real" reasons we serve!
Give a thanks to your son! I know it is earned.

Hello Glenn. I stopped in to say hello. And I can tell you the reason my son is in the military; he put his first uniform on as a Cub Scout, the full dress uniform through Boy Scouts, his teenage years were spent in Naval Sea Cadets. He was lost for about three years and the joined the Army. He is now a police soldier (not M.P., he quickly corrected me) and doing extremely well. My son does not function well in civilian life. He is happy as a soldier. He is simply following orders on his deployments. Now, I do not know what the Government is up to, we always find out years down the road. My son is a soldier because it is a job he is comfortable doing and it makes him proud. I have come to accept that. I wish he were not a soldier and certainly not in for the rest of his life, but sobeit! I just hope and pray the Government values his life as much as I do. Glenn, you do not waiver on your beliefs and I admire so much! I entend my thanks for letting me share this with you. I know you have always listened to me and I value that very much! I hope you have a wonderful evening! sam
