Just wanted to say thank you for your many comments. Will you believe that I actually got hatemail from a newbıe with threats ıncluded? I was so dısgusted I wanted to pack ın, but I told sam444 and she saıd the same has happened to her ın recent weeks and to stick ıt out. I'll post about ıt. Take care. Greeting to Canada from Turkey. Thanks for the friendly sentiment, Naut. I appreciate it, as
one of those Americans from the "lower 48."
When I was in Seattle we got Canadian stations on our cable and I used to love watching the news and getting a neighbor's objective perspective on what was going on here. I'm thinking your stations aren't owned by the big business folks who own U.S. networks and we get some objective viewpoints instead of the company line. No such luck here -- where the Bible Belt's persistent blind parochialism baffles me.

Hello Naut! This is so thoughtful of you! I have to share a story with you. As you know 444 is with sam. It took me years to figure the number out. Everywhere I went the number would pop up. For years I would see it on the outfield clock at the old Tiger stadium ballpark. It was so very eerie. It would drive me nuts. I would always get a very peaceful feeling though. One day I saw it again at the park and just said, well sh*t! I knew it was my uncle! He played a poker game called 444 ( four up, four down, fours wild). My father was an ogre and when I was in my early 20's the family get-togethers always included poker. My uncle and I would get my father in a crossfire so to speak and take his money, leave it on the table (really didn't want, just take it away) and then my uncle and I would go to his office (no one got in there) and drink shots of Jack Daniels from the bottle and lm(our)ao for hours! It was sweet revenge. I would go see him on weekends to watch the game on the tv. He died suddenly when I was 28. It was a devastating loss. But the number hung around and now when it comes up I get so giddy! So today when you left a happy 4th to me it was (there are a couple of numbers in front) #444 to my comment area! It was so cool to have two of my favorite people show up at the same time! You are the first person to be associated with the number. So cool my Canadian brother! Love to you, Shelly
