Sounds like you came across some duds
By duds I mean fellow humans who live by the Eat, Drink and be Merry code of life you have stated. I must say I am more fascinated by the brighter lights of our existence that you mentioned. Love, equality, perseverance...etc.. Those are things that fulfill our lives.
