Love
We have made love something else.  Love was never meant to hurt but as it turns out that is what it is now.  Hmm nice wording, I like the repetition of the I's and the You's.

*sigh* broken love...one of the most painful kinds of love, I think...where both do not see eye to eye...and one loves the other far more than can be imagined.  My heart hurts for you and I agree with Vickip, seems like she doesn't deserve you at all, because regardless of how much you want her, if she ever did come to you, I'm scared she'd just use you and hurt you more.  Stay strong!!

Hey you ... this is so heartfelt and so sad ... but believe it or not,
recognizing what you missed, or never had at all, helps in healing.  Doesn't sound to me as if she deserved you!  Keep writing my friend

Hey Mike, it seems we will be talking all day. It is fun. I was thinking about your poetry and I wanted to suggest a book. It is called Creative Visualization by Andrew Wiehl. It deals with unlocking the secret powers of mind and body for full realization and happiness. It helped my poetry tremendously! The Library of Congress # is 58-13473. I know it is out of print but I believe I found my copy on Amazon. The last copyright I am familiar with is 1958!  God bless you my friend and blessings from me too!  sam

It's usually a bit of both - apprehension on both sides sometimes allowing something to slip away.

I am not exactly sure how to answer your question but I will try. I cannot write romantic poetry. I listen to love songs and try to get a feel for it, but so elusive. I like love in the Spirit. It is not invasive and can be said to anyone one may love. I had written many poems for my children while they were growing up but I never did for my ex. This is because I never recovered from his affair after 4 years of marriage. I gave it the ole college try, 13 years in fact. But, I just lost all the feel for temporal love. I am the type of person who will work at something until it is mastered. In the last poem I wrote, listening to music as a prerequisite, I wrote the first tercet, then I just developed the imagery accordingly. Several re-writes later I just stopped and let it rest! Basically, I was just messing with imagery! I will write one day though!  sam

Rather poignant Mike. How are you? I think the writing is good therapy! God bless you my friend! I hope the pain eases for you!   sam
