I dunno why, but after I read your blog I had this sudden urge to go into
the kitchen and get out the Bushmill's and pour a shot over ice...  Anti-energy drinks sound like the idea of a marketing kid on drugs. But it would be nice to see an end to the mindless movement and frantic activity for activity's sake. In my mind came a whole diatribe based on some of those great comments you received I won't go into. You can thank me later.

Hi there!!
Just stopped by to see how you're doing. Regarding the beverage dilemma, well i've tried those power drinks when i needed an energy boost (when I was lagging behind in my art work for the exhibition) and found them to be absolutely useless. I had an unbearable headache that left me unable to sleep ( I wonder if that's how this product is meant to keep you awake) and I ended up taking sleeping pills because I could not work with the pain in my head! So I'll second your suggestion : stay away from the "miracle" drinks!

That's so weird,

I feel like all aspect of life now is a kind of disease that has to be cured some how: drink to go faster, as if moving slowly was a disease, drink to go slower as if going fast was a disease, a boost here for the moral, an anti-boost there for the kids who go to fast etc.

I think you're right: a nice scotch (a cognac for me please) would do just fine. And stop to smell the roses!

Gawd, anti-energy drinks?  not for me... I need my java or I can't move :-) and you are right, if I ever need to relax... what is wrong with a nice old fashion stiff drink? Great post

Nautikos
Do you ever feel like you are sitting in your armchair, drink in hand.....and watching modern life is like watching a television show about people running around with phones attached to their heads, chugging coffee and energy drinks, constantly working on laptops or talking to themselves walking everywhere they go and driving down the road or in the john and now drinking things to hurry up and power down and power sleep so they can get up and do it all over.....and you're so glad when you shut your door because the program's over so you can pour another drink and listen to some good music......

Might be good for those people who can't sleep at night...
then again, they may have to pee a lot.
