Right you are, growler. Al McGuire said it best, "The best defense is a
good offense." Points are what wins the games. Take, for example, the final game. Boston crushed the Lakers. With defense? Hardly. With points. Of their 131 points, the Big Three scored 69 of them (26 apiece for Garnett and Allen, 17 for Pierce). The rest of the team scored 62 points, two-thirds of L.A.'s total output. Really, besides blocking shots and simply getting in the way of a shooter have you seen real defense in the NBA in the last several decades?
