I love train journeys
The fools discontinued the long distance train that came here about 4 years ago. Then last week I interviewed the new politician in charge of trains in one state who is doing his best to restore and improve them to his patch. I thanked him for that though it is not my habit to thank politicians.
I just finished that post of mine by the way. I have never ever posted in word then to blogit. I suppose i like some danger somewhere

Re: Too bad you don't compost. Amazingly reduces plant waste, plus humus.
I know, majroj, I know. If this were my land, I would be doing just that, but the landlord likes this property raked clean of everything and then swept like a Mexican grandmother sweeps her garden.....
So, I'm in that habit....This soil is so depleted and so dry and so lacking in nutrients....I do bury elgg shelss and coffee grinds and fruit and veggie debris under some bushes, but that's about it.

Re: train rides......I hear a train whistle and my soul climbs on board.
I am truly thinking about a train ride up to Ohio......to visit the grandchildren....or, over to Florida??
