Re:While I do understand your desire to get home quickly
Unfortunately, for some the rehab experience is counterproductive (as mine was) and thus staying only made me sicker and more scared. Further, wasting 23 1/2 hours a day doing nothing and a half hour a day in a fake living situation using an upper body bicycle and sqeezing a ball between my knees was not helpful to my healing but it was costing me over $6,000 a month. At home I am healing quickly and only paying $2,500 for in home PT. With all due respect to your experience, the only persons being "healed" were the rehab facility by overcharging me for for physical tharapy that was better suited to the aged or very disabled, of which I am not. However, despite my supposed mistake of leaving the facility, I will be off the walker next week and should be completely without any equiptment (with the exception of the cane which the doctor told me that I might continue to need occasionally).

While I do understand your desire to get home quickly and back to 'normal', I think you should have stayed at the rehab facility. If you do that, even if it takes a couple of weeks, your recovery once you are home will go a lot smoother. I speak from experience.
