THERE'S A MINDSET
hard to comprehend unless you have heard this stuff before.

first -- the Medieval Church practically teaches this.  People grow up with it ingrained i n their minds and believing it.

secondly, many people use this philosophy as a buffer between them the the world around them.  Catastrophe can occur; yet god is good and they have Jesus.  It's a way to escape reality.

RSM, Actual quotes from a Christian are silly?
I was quoting an actual Christian in this post and making a point off of what she was saying.  I was using actual words of a Christian, which would be the actual views of an actual Christian.

As always, I will try to explain how this all works.  I do not believe that all Christians think this way.  This is a way of thinking that at least one blogger in the past expressed here and other believes have shown they think very similarly.

Just because you might not does not mean that all Christians are like you.

It is a valid point about a way of thinking that some believers follow.

I could easily go into the Bible and show how God does follow the way of thinking these Christians promote.  I very much see where they could get such ideas from be following the Bible. it doesn't make such ideas any more appealing though.

And if this post really is that silly, please explain to me just what is silly about it.  I always find it interesting at how you have all the answers and can prove me wrong on everything, yet somehow are always unable to actually give any information in any form that back you up in any claim you have ever made here.  So me what is so silly here and back it up with some form of proof.  To see you try to do this will be something, to see you ever actually succeed in using real forms of proof to prove me wrong will be truly amazing.

Getting Soft?
You used to put up some tough ones but here lately you are throwing soft balls over the plate. What's the deal? I do not know where to begin with this one. I actually thought you had a pretty good knowledge of what Christians are all about but you know nothing about us nor God nor the Bible. This post is silly!

kooka_lives - the loving father analogy pertaining to God breaks down on a

number of other fronts as well.

Non communicative and absentee come to mind first off.
