I think we have a grass mowing bylaw here
but they usually just tape a note to your door, asking you to please cut your grass. We save jail cells for real criminals, like the people who don't clean up after their pets...

Very astute my dear friend! There is a two part conclusion with a post script tomorrow. Now I hope to begin to write poetry. Love the canoe we paddle my dear friend. Shelly

Nautikos
I think it's a good idea myself.....um, not the firing squad....that's probably best saved for sexual predators and repeat drunk drivers.....but, I see no reason why city dollars should be spent to pay for lazy land owners' derelection of responsibility....and high grass is a nuisance, eyesore and hazard....not only is it a fire hazard but at corners it obscures drivers' views of one another.....and, might I add, that high grass problems and grass high problems in public both seem to share absentee and neglectful landlords in areas not known for landscaping.....but I digrass, er, digress.  Now that you've changed your focus from bugs to grass and lawnmowers, can we assume you're working your way up some kind of sociological ladder.  Do they have that saying in Canada, "Your ass is grass and I'm a lawnmower"......  (Yes, it's one of those Monday's!!!!!)

They should allow sheep and goat grazing
a win-win situation that benefits both livestock and lawn owners.
