I totally agree with you on Iraq. Also, the prisoners at Gitmo will now,

when released, go to their countries (or elsewhere) and become terrorists.  And why not?  Some of them have been held for 7-8 years.  In fact, defense for the Bush position used a report that showed conclusive evidence that at least 30 former Gitmo detainees are now associated with terrorists or terrorist activities.  And I wonder how many of them were NOT terrorists until wrongfully detained.

But on the War on Terrorism, I beg to differ.  It is a war.  There are two defined adversarial combatants.  Both are known quantities.  It is a type of guerilla war, a cat-and-mouse type.  There is a strategy on both sides.  It isn't conventional war, but it is war.  What the Bush administration did with regard to Afghanistan was proper.  bin Laden and parts of al Qaeda were being harbored by a known terrorist-affiliated and sponsoring state.  They would not hand him over, nor allow us access to him.  They were invaded.  Provocation - retaliation.

Iraq is a crime, from beginning to end.
