I actually like the sound of that name, cpklapper. LA Quakers. Rather
appropriate as well...

LA Quakers? Gotta love those plainscloth uniforms and quiet modesty.

Re: That would have changed history altogether, cpklapper. We might not ha
and Jimi Hendrix might have been still singing raunchy duets with Jim Morrison, too.  It's amazing how these things throw the universe off kiliter!

That would have changed history altogether, cpklapper. We might not have
invented the microwave or landed on the moon.  We might not have sent troops to Viet Nam (other than the "advisors"), Kennedy may not have been assassinated, and Watergate may have been reconsidered and never perpetrated.  Jimi Hendrix might still be alive and playing duo with Carlos Santana.  But they moved to L.A. in 1960 and all those things did happen.  And they're still alive and trying to win another championship...

Re: I wonder how this would have played out
you know this is too funny as i was wondering as girls do about weird stuff while guys are trying to watch the game...why are the Lakers called the Lakers?  I mean Los Angeles isn't known for lakes, it's known for quakes so why not call them the quakers? Now I know!!!  I can tell the guys now, I'm sure they will love that!  LoL

I wonder how this would have played out
if the Lakers never left Minnesota.

Just a thought...

I missed the entire game. Had to work. But I'll see the final game in
Boston.  There will be no Game 7.
