It should be an interesting, (and I certainly hope also
rewarding) experience! Kids that age tend to either bond quickly, or not at all. This makes me think of a book I just finished a couple of nights ago (I do most of my reading at night, since it's easier to steal hours from sleep than from work), Peter Carey's
His Illegal Self. You've got to read it to understand why I am thinking of it, even though the context is rather different...But quite apart from that, Carey is an
amazing writer, whom I just discovered...
