Re: When my daughter was 8 she spotted a kitten someone had dropped

I love it Pat!

You and your daughter got a new friend, and a kitten found a good home! A story with a happy ending, for sure!

When my daughter was 8 she spotted a kitten someone had dropped
out of a car by the side of the road. I agreed to let her keep it until we could find a home for it. The cat was my loyal companion for several years after my daughter left for college. Funny how that happens. :)

Re: It's all good and maybe you should try dress ups??

LOL Norwood!

Thanks for reading, and for the tip--perhaps I'll spend the afternoon raiding the local costume store!

Re: Just relax, your baby will be born from love not from time watching

Thank you Kabu--it means a lot to me, to know that I have that support from someone as sweet as you!

Re: I'd tell you just relax, these things take time. But you're probably sick

Thanks Pat!

I'm confident that we made the right choice! And Mark's really embraced his "break"--he's been spending so much time tinkering in the garage, reconnecting with his precious tools, that I haven't actually seen him in almost 2 days!

It worked out well though, because I had a few books I'd been neglecting, and some writing that I was itching to get done!

Re: Sira

LOL! Thanks Naut!

I hadn't heard the bit about clipping off the dusters--I'll have to remember that, so I can make sure we get a good "crop" next season!

Those long boring wet days might just be the answer. What ever happens you are loved here and we support you and believe in you as a person.

I'd tell you just relax, these things take time. But you're probably sick
of hearing that. I think you're wise to take a break and take the pressure off. There's nothing wrong with being a happy couple for a while longer, getting to know each other even better, enjoying casual and spontaneous times together. It's all good. :)pat

Sira

Your secret is safe with me! I promise, I won't breathe a word to Mark or the rest of the family, LOL! And you'll succeed, just keep at it...

And my lilac has bloomed, and now only has these big brown dusters, which must be clipped off to ensure a good flowering next year! At least that's what I was once told  by a gardener, and I have been doing it ever since. But it's raining here as well, so I can put it off in good conscience...
