saul_relative - Re: Conspiracy theories are the hobgoblins of . . . .

Closer cooperation between the 3 North American countries is inevitable because as you say; it is necessary. There are a number of mutual concerns pertaining to the economy, security, defense and resources that make such a union the best solution. Our concerns should lie in how the agreement is drafted, what will be enveloped within it and to what extent we want this type of cooperation to permeate relations between the 3 countries.

RedStatesMan - I am quite familiar with Christian eschatology gone awry

Which is exactly what has happened to the end times fables, they have gone awry, been extrapolated and elaborated upon to a point of absurdity. Now people like yourself wander around spewing this isolationist Christian gibberish as if it were fact while you play pin the tail on the anti=Christ. In the end however, you have nothing but a book of fables that causes the gullible amongst us to be dissapointed generation after generation after generation.

I'm giving you the chance to say something intelligent before I simply block you. (and no, attempting to use biblical prophecy to refute my post doesn't count as intelligent) You have yet to leave a civil comment towards me here or any other place. If you are not capable of reasonable dialogue; all I can suggest is that you go sell crazy somewhere else.

Conspiracy theories are the hobgoblins of isolationists
and ethnocentrists around the world.  Parts of the North American Union are true (Lou Dobbs speaks to the parts that directly affect us) and closer cooperation between our nations are political inevitabilities as you suggest, simply due to increased globalization, trade and economic and security pacts.  The last great land area not included in a home-based security and economic pact is North America.  Of course, we have the OAS and the Monroe Doctrine, which, in the coming years, will probably be expanded to include mutual security issues.  The world already has several of these unions.  The European Union, the African Union, the Asian Union, and the proposed Pacific and Central Asian Unions.  The North American Union would follow these lines.  Many worry about the abrogation of autonomy and sovereignty, but these unions exist for increased economic benefit.  Even the EU began as an economic community.  The problem with such unions is that they play into the hands of Armageddonists (end-of-the-worlders), Orwellianists, Second Coming loonies, and hard core isolationists who don't mind using fear tactics to champion their causes.  Although I, too, worry about some of the provisions of the proposed NAU, I also know that it is part of a necessary political and economic evolution.

Low Shooting On Your Part
You are too low on your aim. Of course, since you do not believe in the Bible then I guess your sophmoric approach is acceptable. Read the Bible and understand about the anti-Christ. This has not come yet but it will. Once he makes his appearance then your answer will come but until you will remain with your questions.

sam444 - the point I am trying to make is that most of these types of

conspiracy theories completely ignore the cold hard realities of human behavior.

As if some of these NWO proponents have any idea what goes on in corporate broardrooms, in the halls of political office and amongst the power brokers of other nations, they speak of the one world government grand conspiracy matter of factly. As if they know what they are talking about and as if the impossible is actually possible.

I am glad I came upon this. I read stuff earlier in the day that was making me uneasy and thanks to this blog I have a reminder that there are varied opinions!  sam

Xeno-x - don't strain yourself with such wordy comments
(Just kidding) . . . I'm actually responding to your comment to leave this link: HERE if anyone wants a laugh.

vickip - I thought your first comment was pointing out my grammatical error

But after seeing the video, I had to laugh, especially at the part about the proposed super highway. The Nothern expanse traversing Canada laterally in the West direction goes through about 1,500 miles where the total population is barely a million people. Even when taking into account the populations of the destination points, it barely adds up to 6 or 7 million people. There is no doubt that these people will be eternally grateful if someone builds them a super highway but one has to chuckle after examining the feasability.

There are a couple of other realities, 3 countries unifying on specific policies in meeting common objectives is a far cry from the NWO. In all likelihood; certain aspects (the real ones) of the North American Union conspiracy will come to be, which of course gives the NWO proponents more fuel for their oxygen starved fires.
