Thinking as you called it..in memorizing stories handed down through the generations is a wonderful thing..I find that is great way to connect with those around and far from us..Thank you soo much for sharing that information about the Smriti..What fasincating things all people do...I agree I think those people know far more then most given them credit for..

Re: Soul_Builder101
Rural settings are easier for the Holy spirit..as it has more relaxation and fulfillment within it's realm..Cities can be tense and demanding..The Holy spirit is a wise and flowing soul..Nature is so much apart of it that it feels at home within the greenry of Nature..I have a few more reads that I will email you!

Re: Vickip
Thank you Vickip..It is only through the elders that we can pull what we need in life..They may have lived in a different era but a lot of what they learned still has benefits in our time..I can only teach my daughter what I know and hope she relates it to her childern in the years ahead..

I agree..There were a lot of horrors done a while back to the Native peoples...I find that we must move ahead and change the perceptions of the people who think like others of the past once did..Thank you Sam!

The maturity of experience that the old have, if we are receptive, can take us places. In India, prior to written books, knowledge was transferred to the younger age through
Shruti, that is listening, and for remembering these pithy aphoristic knowledge was required
Smriti, that is memory. People of that age had, through practice, developed a fantastic memeory and in the Smriti are recorded invaluable knowledge useful to this day ./. but we tend to ignore thinking what could those poeple know?

I have great reverence for the original nationals. The reading you supplied me, plus my own research leads me to believe that the Holy spirit loves rural settings and hates cities. Quietness is essential to God-communication. The old stories carry truth too!

You are so right.
In Bible times they did the same thing. They took time to teach their people
from generation to generation by telling stories, but somewhere along the
way that communication was lost. We need to turn off the T.V and Movies
and get back to the basics. Great Post.

Not a huge surprise since adults teach their children that to disrespect
those in authority is ok, even newsworthy ... and marketing guru's would have us think youth are the only consumers worth marketing to ... if you are past 40, you are insignificant, according to them and society
buys it. Excellent post wig.

I can really appreciate the meaning of this writing. I feel the youngins of this world cannot accept the stories that helped to create their now and future. Unfortunately I have only learned to appreciate the stories of old when it was too late, meaning that the stories that could be told to me are gone because my parents are both gone. So now I appreciate all that those tell me that are older than I and I have come to also appreciate stories of old that even those younger than me can tell. Marvellous write and I really enjoy these native american blogs you post. From my
