- Go to WHAT SHOULD OFFEND PEOPLE OF ANY SET OF RELIGIOUS BELIEFS
kooka_lives - these are just ignorant little people who haven't the
foggiest notion of what the word respect means.
To them it means that their beliefs are inviolate while they feel free to say whatever they please about anyone else. I've also been accused of going from blog to blog leaving insults to those with whom I disagree but when I told the knucklehead making the accusation to put up or shut up and produce just one example, he could not. It is clear that these people are poorly educated, some of them can barely construct a coherent sentence, let alone put together an argument that makes any sense. Yet they blather on anyways, one against logic and reason, the other is just an ignorant old bigot but when I see other people supporting their drivel, I have to ask myself what I'm doing here? Arguing with people that can barely fart and chew gum about the validity of their irrational perspectives and inequitable social views, is something I've grown weary of.

What I find truly telling is that it seems the ones who are most vocal in defense of the comment in question seem to be the ones who claim the two of us spend all of our time attacking God and Christians just because we talk about why we believe as we do. It goes back to the idea of respect I have often talked about here. Both you and I show a great deal of respect to those who we do not agree with by making sure we use qualifiers to avoid making such degrading generalized statements.
It is sad that these people demand a level of respect from those like us that they out right seem to refuse to give or try to earn. I even had one of our favorite God-following bloggers openly admit to me that he will never try to show any respect for my beliefs. It really does bother me at how righteous they can get.

kooka_lives - this is one episode where I was really dissapointed with
some other Blogit members.
When someone intentionally phrases things to be offensive and to give themselves the opportunity to use an unqualified, all encompassing generalization, simply because they want to, it makes you wonder about the people on this site? I saw a few objections but at the same time I saw some supportive comments. How can anybody but a simpleton be supportive of a phrase that should not be uttered by an adult?
My biggest disappointment is that all of yours and my efforts to qualify every statement we make to the best of our abilities has been a waste of time. It seems that far too many people around here don't know the difference between a statement that uses the words "some" as a qualifier and a statement that speaks in absolutes using the word "all". Then to watch such stupidity grow legs and become the inspiration for so many posts and so much dialogue makes me question why I am here.
I've had enough of Blogit for awhile.
