TAPS, Barking Mad, a British show, is a good one, too,
and I get a kick out of another one I saw yesterday with a sort of British Dog-Dominatrix, but I am not sure the name of it. Animal Planet channel, all in a cluster, Sunday mornings... He might like that one!

Ciel, Son #3 has a border collie named Rocky that has so much potential and he loves him to death, but he is rather out of control and not trained well (the dog). I try to get son to watch some of those "The Dog Whisperer" TV programs on the National Geographis Channel, hoping he will learn a few things. But, he doesn't like to be told what to do. He has developed his own strategy of yelling at the dog.

For the briefest instant, TAPS, I considered sheep...
Truly, very briefly! But first thing yesterday, I was watching several of the dog training shows, and it looks like a pretty easy thing for our yard and situation to set up an obstacle course and train him to be busy and smart that way.
I am going to bookmark that link you sent, too!
Thanks!

Remember, border collies have an innate need to be doing work. Keep him busy.

He is a mostly border collie, 7 weeks old
and we are trying to organized acceptible sleeping arrangements even now... He seems to like the box he came home in, nestled up with a soft blanket tucked around him like his litter mates.
We scored a big heavy cardboard watermelon bin down at the grocery store, and will try putting him in there in the little box in a while. I predict it won't be long before he is whimpering, whining and weeping... Unless one of us joins him in the box.
