Friend in China says large cities are heavily infested with electric mopeds

Must cut down on noise and street pollution a lot.

The first cycle fatality I worked on was a moped, but not what you think. HE was driving on the sidewalk at over 25 mph without a helmet and ran headfirst into the side of a bakery delivery truck without stopping.

Now, if EVERYONE got a moped, that would be good....no SUV
monsters on your butt, chomping at your shirttails.

I just reread this post and emotionally separated this time, I laughed out

loud.

I'm thinking about getting a tiny moped, 100 miles to the gallon and no insurance if you wear a helmet. My kinda transport. However, a huge SUV would eat me on day four.....and I know that for a fact.

An engrossing read, young man.  I'm glad the result was a pass.  I disagree with the idea of including east, west, north, south.  It takes me all my time to figure out if the person meant their left or my left.  The directions from the wrong starting point was hilarious - to me, that is.

hit a funny key or something................
as I was writing, one less child to now drive around, but one more to worry yourself sick over as they are now flying in and out of the nest alone, so cluelessly alone.......ack!

I had to learn to drive in Rio, where people used the sidewalks to get

around traffic stoppages or used them as impromptu parking lots and where lane lines were just superfluous road decoration and where railed bondes and wild racing buses ruled.

But, it was those glorietas in Mexico that got my young heart racing....how to get into the circling cars and how to then get out of the herd of circling cars and onto the exiting street of one's dire need.

Tucson roads and streets and all are a piece of easy cheesy cake.

Funny story.
My father and I decided that we were best not to conduct driving lessons together.

Still swamped but just peeking out

Well done Dad! I loved this story. I am happy for your daughter, there is nothing like independence that driving can afford. Congratulations to both of you. Your patience is marvelous!  sam
