- Go to Man Shoots One-Year-Old "by Mistake"
Fourteen Years Old Or Not. . .
. . .this young mother was doing what many parents do on Halloween: taking her child out trick-or-treating!
I know at least one person that she was more emotionally-mature than: the one doing the shooting!
At least, she was being a law-abiding citizen!
Warmly,
AJ (J)

Yeah...
Frayser is a bad area. We moved my grandparents out of there about 15 years ago, when it started going bad, and it's just gotten worse and worse. My Dad grew up there, and it was a beautiful subdivision, full of nicely cared-for homes and neat lawns and flowerbeds. Now I don't even like to drive through there and avoid it at all costs. But probably 100K people live in Frayser, and you have to put them somewhere, so razing the neighborhood isn't gonna help. It's just a horrible shame.

Google didn't work through seven iterations
Then I remembered...let the newspapers do your work for you.

Drive by, trying to shoot someone in particular but hit a baby instead. Amazingly inaccurate way to shoot at people. They used to line up in front of a skating rink near my hometown, get shot at nearly every night, then go back again a few minutes later.
This was just the stink off the rot there. That they made an arrest was a miracle, but bangers roll over on their buds pretty easy, especially as a baby killer's going to be in protective custody (i.e., solitary) for his entire sentence. He'll deal his ass off.
Hope the little girl/mom can get her act together. Hard enough as it would be on a normal situation, she's already in doodooville as it is.

Memphis. Go a google search for "Memphis one-year-old shot" and click the news tab.
What does creamed spinach have to do with being a teetotaller? I don't put wine in my creamed spinach...

I'll share it with you. But no cheese please.
A kid taking her baby out trick or treating? Not too smart. But we had a case where a baseball coach was hit by a .38 slug a block away from a botched robbery, as he was working with his kids. It can happen, the slug addresed "TWIMC" is the dangerous one. It all sucks. Hope the witnesses had the license numbers, too.
I'd still want to see the forensic evidence. Tawana Brawley had witnesses too.

You may keep your Doritos,
but you can fork over a filet mignon dinner complete with creamed spinach, salad with balsamic vinaigrette and sheeps-milk feta, and asparagus Hollandaise. (Doritos aren't on my diet.)
Witnesses confirm that the mother was walking down the street with the child in her arms when a car pulled up in the middle of the street and stopped. Another car drove up and seven shots were fired. The mother ran for shelter, but it was too late. Her baby had been shot in the head.

I have a bag of Doritos says she wasn't trick or treating.
There is usually more than meets the eye of the media when these things are reported.
I can think of three scenarios right off the bat, and none of them reflect well on the fourteen year old or the reporter. The crucial point is if the baby had powder burns.
(And the "Croc Hunter" HAS been hurt plenty, jokes about it and shows his medical stuff every once in a while.)
