I have seen a few this year..But not as many in past years...I wonder if the weird weather has them all messed up..

Stay clear of the storms...they're rough this time of the year. And yes, I am a hummingbird lover ~ actually you can now buy these jars with a hole like in the bottom that are to attract the bees and wasps...it's amazing what they won't think of next. Good advice Kolekshuns and good history ~

Re: Kolekshuns- This is true.
Because they are attracted to red. Why, I don't know, but they love red.
They also love cardinal flowers, Lobelia cardinals, hollyhocks, Petunias,
Geraniums, Begonias, Azaleas, Butterfly bushes, honeysuckle, and a whole
list of flowers and bushes. To keep ants away from your feeder, use an ant
guard.

I've also heard/read that hummingbird feeders should be red - why is that (or is that true?).

Kolekshuns ~.~
Very interesting -- thanks! I have an artist friend in Wisconsin -- I visit him occasionally. He has a hummingbird feeder hanging in his front yard. They are very interesting to watch (and I never realized they are so small.) Thank you for sharing. Peace, blessings and understanding.
