Re: it's hard to see your parents suffer

Yes, it's very frustrating!

I'm sure everything will turn out well in the end--I just wish it could be sooner, rather than later!

Thanks for reading

it's hard to see your parents suffer
without being able to do anything about it. Hope all goes well for him.

Re: What's up with those docs? Aren't they being paid (and paid well) to

I don't know Pat--I guess with some people, there's no amount of money that will transform them into decent human beings.

Or perhaps those fancy degrees have just gone to their heads, and they've forgotten that the little sheet of paper is not a free pass to treat people badly.

And please--for the love of God--don't even think the "S" word!!

Re:

LLM,

Yeah, the 'bone doc' was an orthopedic surgeon--we're on the hunt for another, nicer, one now!

We don't really know what was going on in the emergency room--dad ended up getting the proper treatment from his family doc; enough to tide him over until he can get his new robo-hips installed!

Thanks for reading, and for being so sweet

What's up with those docs? Aren't they being paid (and paid well) to
treat patients?  I sure hope your dad gets his tune-up and feels like a new man soon enough to enjoy his bike before snow flies again.

Sira,

I feel for you all.  It's ridiculous the way most doctors these days treat the people they're sworn to help.  If I were you, I'd seriously try to find a different doctor.  Not sure if he's been to see an actual orthopedic surgeon, but if not, please contact one as soon as you can.

Also, you really need to start questioning why they were reluctant to use the standard treatment procedure for his pain.

Love and prayers for all of you.  Please keep me posted.
