Re: It depends
You are right, it depends.  I am not writing for diabetics, but for people who want to lose weight.  Do not try these approaches if you are diabetic.  I do not eat sugar mysslf by choice.  I cut carbs down to sip to extend my life.  I've presented workshop on this a vouch it works, but low carbing is not for diabetics unless guided by a physician or dietician.

It depends
 Diabetics test food for their tolerance individually. For myself corn syrup in ketchup shows up zero. In this way I find that depends on the food. Bulk and potion determines my blood sugar level as well. I test low in blood sugar. However individuals vary.

You think that's bad?  All these sugar 'substitues' , (ie Equal™, Splenda™) have horrifying effects.  We're on the same page with this type of thing.  I did an entry on sucralose quite a while back, that is becoming more and more true everyday.
