you are lucky.
Most of my students are adults that like the idea of playing guitar, but don't want to put in the practice time to learn....except for one, who played in public for the very first time this past sunday.

How wonderful. When they want to learn it brings out the best in the teacher as well. I appreciate that you make a fair assessment of talent. From the pride you take in your student I can tell that you are a gifted teacher. Kudos to you my teacher!  Southern rock on! sam

strat, I like to think of you teaching kids to play the guitar.  Years ago my Sis with four children decided to give them all music lessons of one sort or another.  Two chose piano and two chose guitar.   The guitar teacher, after a few lessons, told my Sis that she was wasting her money on one of them, that he had no musical abilities whatsoever.  Teacher was right,  nephew finally gave up on music and became a preacher.  LOL

LOL, I started guitar lessons when I was 8...I was good with chords, but

not all that lead guitar business...I so enjoyed playing the guitar as a kid...today, I have a love/hate relationship with it. LOL

Strat, you'd make a great teacher~!  Glad you're doing it!
