Only a mother so expansive with her words could have birthed and reared a cunninglinguist such as yourself.

It is entirely the fault of said chicken
If they did not forgo the ability for flight they would not be in such a mess

"yeah, I used to be able to fly, see I still have the wings to prove it"

Re: Krisles
Yes, mothers are the great jugglers of society - you'll get no argument from me there.  And you're probably right, I'm too tense, but my shrink always starts off the session with, "tell me about your mother."  And it's a long story with many long and winding roads.  Attention Deficit Disorder is more common than the oxygen; it's the national deficit.  I don't really have time to get into it right now, but you know what I'm...

I appreciate your verbal lashings, and I'm sure my mother would appreciate you standing up for her.  I would tell her about it, but I have some place I have to be within the next few weeks.  :-)

It's really good to see you, Krisles.  Thanks for dropping in.

That was funny....funnier was the fact that I had no problem following it whatsoever and wondered what YOUR problem was!!!!  Obviously, you don't understand that because mothers are the first true multi-taskers (waaaaaay before kid-geniuses ever thought of the term!) and so their minds are hardwired to ADD patterns whether we are diagnosed with it or not.....since I am officially diagnosed now, I have a comeback when my friends start making jokes about following the bouncing ball of my conversations....of course, back in the day of giant reefers, it was enormously entertaining...anyway, since they spend all their time having to think of all kinds of things at once - even simple things like fixing a meal requires thinking of several things at once, I'm sure you do realize that - their minds tend to settle into the pattern of thinking of several things at once....can't you see how that would happen?  Now, as I understand it, it is great mental exercise as a hedge against the big Al....which, as you know, tends to strike those who can't follow complicated thought patterns.....so, you'd do well to learn to follow along as your mother takes you on her Magical Mystery Tours.....just relax and enjoy the ride......quit being so tense....it's bad for you!

Re: Food4thought
As far as I know you're not my mother, but it would explain a lot.  I'm sure my other mother would jump at the chance of that exit strategy.

I think the KFC on the other side of the road should hire some Hooters girls, because two birds and a bush is like killing two stones with one large pair of breasts.

Thanks for reading, Food.

Re: Sam I Am
You're a great audience, Sammy.  I like making people laugh, so have you around is a treat.  Thank you.

My family...
Accuses me of doing that, wait a minute here, oh my Gawd, I'm not your mother am I?  Did you see the new KFC across the road?

Ingenious! The dialogue was so real. I am laughing so hard. It started from the beginning and I can't stop. You just did a superb jog on this one!  sam

Re: ZenMom
Of course I know "hoo ha" was Al Pacino's catchphrase in Scent of a Woman.

Yeah, mothers are unique people with versatile segues, to say the least.  And they are not at all shy about expressing themselves.  We love 'em for it, eh?  ;-)

Thanks for reading and contributing.

Nose-picker sounds familiar. with my mother........it's the never ending saga of her health......no matter what the conversation topic may be........she manages to morph her sentences...until she eventually ends up talking about the something or other that's going on with her hoo ha. (don't ask what is hoo ha.)
