A trip to Scotland would be a blast
but you're right--it's better to go with someone you know well, especially on a big adventure like that!
My best buddy went to Germany for 3 weeks last year, with a girl she knew only by acquaintance. They had a good time, but my friend later said it would have been much better, had she gone with someone she was closer to!
Imagine, trying to get to know someone when you're also trying to get a grasp on a new language and not get lost in a strange country!
