I haven't had rabbit for years and have never cooked it myself, but ate it often as a child, both wild (my dad hunted) and domestic (we had a rabbit hutch for meat, not for pets). Your recipe sounds very good. I'll probably never cook it as its true, we don't see rabbit meat in the stores here.
