You are a wonderful person who puts the past behind you, gets busy
and gets on with the taask at hand. If it really bothers you talk to a therapist who may be ale to help you to recall.

I had a good childhood, but I had a half happy marriage and just tyring to remember childhood memories or the marriage just dont surface

I think comfort in those times probably makes a difference. I had a horrible childhood and so I walked away from it; the memories I have are haunting. sam

lustorlove, I can see faces from the past clearly in my mind and remember every little event of the past, but names and numbers escape me. Today, just for a moment, I couldn't remember the name of one of my grandchildren. LOL. Now that's embarrassing.

Human memory on a conscious level
isn't that reliable. To really remember something it often means you have to re-live it. This is why psychiatrists sometimes ask people to go into a type of trance or hypnotism and regress them to an earlier time in their lives. You don't need to see a psychiatrist to do this, if you want to know the method just let me know and I'll tell you. It's not difficult and it may help you glean something new about your past.

I have vivid memories of my childhood, and passing into adulthood.....even the bad ones. Even tastes and smells! Have you every smelled something and it immediately triggered a memory from childhood. For example, cotton candy?
