Yes Vogue
and it was scary in that I saw a person who I had originally a lot of respect for become quite obsessive about 'tell me what the stars have in store for me today'. It means that all her self determination and independence has eroded, also because of other events in her life too, but you couldn't tell her that or get her to think about options and the learning and growing part of leading one's life.

Thank you so much for your comment on horoscopes. I think what you were asked to do must have been a request by a very inscure person, am I right?

yeah BUT I always laugh when people say that they are unbiased
or that their writing is neutral and doesn't purport to express an opinion especially a personal one. The very words we choose to even describe a setting means we are inviting a reader to feel a certain way about a place or a concept.  Thanks for your comments guys!

A grand question. I suspect one would look for commonality!  sam

I think that's true

and quite profound. I'm always surprised when people point out themes or meaning in my writing, because I usually didn't put them there intentionally. But like you said, everyone reads it from a different perspective, and takes their own unique meaning from the words.

As a writer, it's pretty cool to realize that your work has meaning for others. And as a reader, it's always fun to find meaning in the words of others!

And that's why I love to read. And love to get and read comments.
