I am sorry to not have attended your classes on the classics recently as I used to . I have been so busy with my Chinese artwork project and I visit Blogit less often and then only to read a few and write little.
Shall try to hit your blog more often.
In my writing post, I wrote about a bodice ripper audio book that I had listened to, wincing at the vocabulary. It is why I made that comment about the Adonis poem, it was so similar in an ancient lusty way, sweeter than the novel, I assure you.
Now, I'm listening to an audio book that I believed to be science fiction and it, too, turns out to be a horny little thing. So embarrassing. I turned the volume way down on this one, as it was even more explicit. I'm turning into an child again in my old age and roll my eyes at the mushy parts of movies and t.v. and cover my eyes and ears sometimes. Yuck!

Dogs will always roam if they roamed when they were younger.
I don't believe there is any way to change that beyond putting them in a locked cage....
I posted the last two sections of Venus and Adonis, by the way, tonight. Thanks for leaving two comments which makes it possible for me to return the clicks...

majroj, I know about tooth wear and shall cut her off soon, but I will try
anything here at the beginning. Frozen filet mignons, if I must.
She went over a six foot fence today, just ran and launched and was over. Damn!! She's about twelve inches high, maybe sixteen. Damn, circus dog. I am now her prison guard when she's out on the yard. No more free play time out there until I'm convinced that she'll stay. She only goes over when she hears me out in front at the mailbox or at the car. SO FAR>>>>>>but, that may not be true forever. DAMN. Sorry to swear so much.

Too much rawhide will wear down the teeth.
So will patas. I had a dog who loved patas, and her teeth wore out!!

majroj, methadone no! Trying feeding her off my leftovers.
The variety of bacon and eggs and noodles and fajitas seems to help. I start to eat and she sits next to Keda and waits for leftovers. I say,"FOOOOOOOOD." She knows that word and it might just be the one that brings the baby back to me each time she jumps out.
I bought her a pighide chicken leg and she's out in the garden daily in the tall grass just chewing away, ignoring the fences. Maybe chews will keep her busy while out there, tho' I can see her becoming a lard butt, if I do it too much.
